Hi guys,
My name is Angelle Henley and I am 21 years of age. I am currently taking pre-pharmacy classes, which brings me here to english 1302. It is one of the many classes that I have to take in order to apply for pharmacy school. I am originally from New Orleans, but moved to Houston by way of hurricane Katrina. As of now, I plan on staying here in Houston until I graduate from pharmacy school. I wish all my classmates luck in their school studies and I will be looking forward to blogging with everyone.

• The reasons I feel sooo happy right now...
• "MY TOUGHEST CHALLENGE BY FAR"
• Once again, I am here in Starbucks working on my paper......OMG;)....Guys I am soooo happy I started early on the research paper. I feel like I have gotten alot accomplished. I am taking a break from typing my essay and I am very confident by the end of the night I will have a full draft. I swear doing an outline really helps alot. I also have been going to the writer's center for help and that was very beneficial. As much as I hate to say it I kinda enjoy doing this research paper. I know it sounds lame but I really enjoyed doing my research seeing how different writer's come up with tons of different ideas on just one story. I will also discuss my paper with professor Wood and get some feedback from her. I am a little nervous though, because I dont want to write it all over but if that is what it takes its just something I will have to do. I am really trying to knock this one out of the ball park
• I am sitting here in Starbucks (my most favorite place to study) and I just reread my story again to get a better understanding and make sure that I do not miss anything. I am trying to develop my outline and come up with a thesis. I know if I can develop a really good outline, everything will begin to just pour out and there is my five pages. The problem is I am having a hard time coming up with one, this is the biggest challenge so far. I think I may need to do a little bit more of research. I am starting on this one early. I am hoping to have a complete five page draft by next week.
• I know no one is excited about the research paper that we were assigned, considering the required length. I'm thinking it will be a little fun for me though, because every story that I have read so far I liked. I know once I finish doing my research, I will have a better understanding of whichever one I chose. My most favorite by far is "Sonny's Blues". Although I find it a little difficult to analyze these stories, the questions we went over in class are very helpful.
• Unfortunately I was unable to see "The Importance of being Earnest" because the tickets were sold out last week. However I did see "The Rocky Horror" on tonight and I am absolutely disgusted.I wish someone would have warned me. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. I did not like anything about that show. Through the entire show the characters were on stage half naked. They were literally showing there butt. I do not find anything interesting or funny about watching people perform half naked. I was so uncomfortable.I am so mad that I wasted my money. I was getting so annoyed to the point I almost walked out, but had I done that I would not have anything to write about and of course I want my extra credit. I have definitely learned my lesson. That is to make sure that I am aware of all content that will take place before I decide to see something that I know nothing about. I left that show feeling like UGH......Sorry guys but I just had to vent on this one
• Tonight I will be going to see a play, for extra credit, at University of Houston. It is titled "The Importance of Being Earnest". I don't have a clue what this play is about. I just hope that it is interesting, so that my mind doesn't drift off elsewhere, considering that I have to write about it. What ever happens I will definitely fill you guys in.For those of you who have intentions on seeing a play this month you can go see one at U of H for only ten bucks with a student i.d.
• I began reading A Dolls House and I have to admit that I do not like this one as much as Othello. Although I have not finished reading A Dolls House, I am pretty much at the end and I do not seee much drama taking place. Who doesn't want drama?That is what kept my attention with Othello, all of the crazy things going on. So now I am really expecting something to catch me by surprise with A Dolls House. Also, I am wondering what significance does the title carry.
• I just finished reading some of Othello. Gosh, that lago know he is visous. He is determined to get revenge on Othello, by any means. lago is definitely not to be trusted. He absolutely has no heart at all. With all this drama going on, it really makes me want to see it on tv.I must admit it is smart of lago to play Othello close because as they say the ones closest to you are the ones who can do the most harm. I wonder if lago's plan is going to work out in the end.Probably not because people of his character usually never have the last laugh. On the flip side, his character keeps me interested because afterall he is the one causing all the drama. For some reason in the end I have a feeling that something is going to come his way that totally throws things off for him . I feel this way because now everything is going just as he plans and he pats himself on the back about it.
• I just finished looking on line for a DVD version of Othello. I found one at Barnes and Noble and Wal-Mart. The cheapist one was at Wal-Mart of course for about fourteen dollars. That price is not a bad price, but I wanted to purchase it with rush delivery so of course that was an extra fee. Once I got ready to purchase it after tax , my total came up to twenty seven bucks. Now I am just going to reconsider buying it. I know twenty seven bucks is not much but I was not expecting that price and I am trying my best not to add any extra expenes to my budget. So now I just might reach out to other sources for a better understanding of Othello. I really want to get it , because I know it will help me out so I just might end up buying it, but right now I am not so sure.
